I have been teaching art to students of all ages and skill sets for 10+ years. I was a classroom teacher for three years, teaching grades 3 - 12. I have taught private and small group lessons for many years as well. In addition, I am a Certified Grumbacher Instructor that taught group lessons at Michael's Arts and Crafts. Lastly, I host sip and paint events at private homes and restaurants/event spaces.
My approach as an art instructor is to meet you at your current level and interests. If you are an absolute beginner, your lessons will be tailored to match that. If you have been drawing forever and want to delve into painting - your lessons will match that. You name it and we will plan your lesson around your goals and skill set.
My approach as a teacher is to make sure you are comfortable and ready to create. Everyone can learn to draw and paint - it's just a matter of practice! Art making should be meditative and therapeutic!
