I am a National Merit Finalist of the Class of 2019 at Jesuit High School of Tampa, FL. I tutored for the National Honors Society for my Junior and Senior years in high school. I then matriculated to the University of Florida as a Benacquisto Scholar, where I got a full ride studying Computer Science and Physics because of those test scores. I have tutored my younger siblings my whole life. I love learning and helping others develop the same passion that I have for knowledge. Connecting with a student is ABSOLUTELY KEY. I love teaching kids using real-life applications. If a person isn't focused on and interested in the conversation, they won't be able to learn. Developing a strong, energetic relationship with each student and connecting with their passions is the BEST part of this job. I love learning about my students' interests and helping them realize that a lot of the science and math they're learning now is what makes everything tick! Kids need role models showing them that you can be cool and smart at the same time, that confidence and intelligence and kindness go hand in hand, and I would love to be that role model!
