I began my professional teaching career as a public high school teacher teaching basic photography to grades 9-12, as well as, coaching baseball for two years. After two years I accepted a position in the graphics arts equipment business. While in the graphics industry I held various roles in sales, production, and customer service. During that time I practiced my lifelong love of photography and witnessed it change with the coming of the digital age during the late 1990's.
In the late 90's I started my own part time business taking small photography jobs on the side while I continued to work full time in the printing industry. In 2005 I formed my own company which I operate today. I serve both commercial and retail clients with photography and video services. In 2007 I got my certification from PPA (Professional Photographers of America). I have advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 5. Samples of my work are available upon request. I also have contributor portfolios on prominent stock photography websites and my images have been downloaded from all over the world.
I truly miss the teaching years and I have always felt one day I would return to teaching in some way to give back. Tutoring fits that bill perfectly.
If I had to describe my style I would say that I'm enthusiastic and passionate about my vocation and I would hope that it would show through as I teach!
