Hi! I’m Niki, a senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering. Over the past several years, I have built a strong foundation in mathematics, problem-solving, and test preparation through rigorous engineering coursework and hands-on experience. I currently work with a Peer Advising Leader team, where I work with students across a wide range of ages and ability levels, helping them improve both their academic performance and confidence.

My background in engineering has trained me to think analytically and break down complex problems into clear, logical steps, which are skills that translate directly into effective tutoring. I have extensive experience supporting students in mathematics, SAT/PSAT preparation, exam review, homework help, and conceptual understanding. I’ve taught in one-on-one settings as well as small groups, adapting my teaching style to match each student’s learning needs and pace. I have grown as a tutor greatly through doing so on Varsity Tutors for various students.

My tutoring approach is highly student-centered. I focus on identifying gaps in understanding, reinforcing fundamentals, and teaching efficient problem-solving strategies rather than rote memorization. I emphasize building long-term understanding, test-taking strategies, and independent learning skills so students feel confident tackling new material on their own.

Beyond academics, I truly enjoy mentoring students and helping them develop confidence, discipline, and a positive mindset toward learning. I strive to create a supportive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to help students achieve higher grades and test scores, but also to empower them with skills they can carry forward in their academic journey.
