With 26 years of teaching experience, I've spent 23 years dedicated to middle school math. My teaching journey began in North Carolina, where I taught for 6 years before returning to Pennsylvania. For the past 20 years, I've been a part of the Pittsburgh Public Schools.
Throughout my career, I've supported primary grades in math and have recently embraced the exciting challenge of teaching first grade math. Beyond the classroom, I have experience tutoring students both privately and in after-school programs.
As a classroom teacher for 26 years, during class I have worked with small groups of students who needed additional help, and my door was always open at lunch/recess for students to come in for any type of assistance in math or any class they may need extra guidance in. I have tutored students in Elementary Math, Pre-Algebra, and Algebra.
My passion for math drives me to help students succeed, and I find true happiness in witnessing their growth and achievements. Understanding and catering to the unique learning styles of each student is crucial to his/her success. I welcome any resources or suggestions that students and parents can provide.
