I am an experienced Social Studies educator with two master’s degrees in Curriculum & Instruction and Special Education, and I am certified to teach Social Studies for grades 7–12 in Pennsylvania. I offer online tutoring only and work with students nationwide, primarily supporting students on the West Coast. I am available in the evenings, Pacific Time. I have taught and supported students in a range of settings, including high school history classrooms, alternative education programs, and special education environments, which has helped me develop a flexible, student-centered approach to learning.

I specialize in helping students understand history as a way of thinking, not just memorization. I work with students to analyze historical sources, understand cause and effect, recognize perspective and bias, and organize information into clear, evidence-based explanations. Many students struggle in history because the material feels overwhelming or disconnected, and I help them break complex topics into manageable pieces while building confidence and clarity.

In addition to history content support, I work extensively with writing and study skills. I help students plan and structure essays, strengthen thesis statements, and use evidence effectively in their writing. My background in special education allows me to provide explicit instruction, step-by-step guidance, and executive functioning support such as organization, time management, and study strategies tailored to each student’s needs.

My goal is to help students feel capable and confident in their learning. Whether a student needs help catching up, preparing for assessments, or developing stronger academic skills, I focus on practical strategies and clear explanations that support both immediate success and long-term growth.
