I have been tutoring and teaching for the past 5 years. My goal with every athlete or student that I tutor is to make them aware of their outstanding potential. I make sure to have them set goals so that when I am helping them we have something to reach for. This is something I love most about tutoring, changing a child’s life for the better. As some of my coaches growing up did for me.

One of my success stories that sticks out the most was on my middle school youth team. I had one young girl that had never played basketball before in her life. Before I scheduled tryouts for the team I scheduled a conditioning day to help get to know some of the new girls. This young girl was the first one there and was very shy. She came in and tried to stay off the court until I went and began to talk to her. Once she got out of her shell, I took her on the court and had her show me her shot. She ended up shooting over the backboard and getting embarrassed. From then on I took her under my wing and helped her anytime she would come early to conditioning. She made the team and continued to get better by coming early and working and staying after. Now she is one of the top rebounders as a freshman on the junior varsity team in high school. To this day, I remain a great relationship with her and her family.

For the past 3 years, I have a coached a travel basketball team. In every tournament, except one, my team made it to the championship round. Before travel basketball, I coached a youth middle school girls team for 2 years as head coach. Also, I have helped coach my father’s high school varsity basketball team.

I want to see everyone succeed. I will do everything I can to make them the best all around player they can be.
