Teaching is my passion! I've always said it doesn't matter what I'm teaching as long as I'm teaching. I have been teaching for the last 3 years in both the U.S. and now overseas in Chiang Mai, Thailand. My degree is in special education with a concentration in Deaf/hard of hearing. I worked at the Ohio School for the Deaf for 2 years teaching middle school social studies, and for the last year I have been working at Nakornpayap International School in Chiang Mai teaching 3rd and 4th grade English as a Second Language. I have students from countries such as China, Japan, Myanmar, Korea, Thailand, as well as Colombia.

My love for teaching high-need students, as well as my desire to travel, is what brought me to Thailand. It has been a joy to watch these students grow and learn how to communicate with one another on the same playing field. This is one of my biggest joys of teaching. I love watching students realize their potential and overcome challenges and obstacles. Let me help you realize your full potential as well!

I am certified to teach English as a Second Language through the International TEFL Academy in Chicago, IL. I have experience teaching as well as tutoring elementary ESL students.

My degree is in Deaf Education and I have taken sign language classes up to ASL 5. I have reached a level of "Advanced" on the SLPI.

With my special education degree, I am certified to teach k-12th grade special needs students. I also have experience teaching 3rd and 4th grade ESL students.
