Hi! My name is Hiba and I am planning on attending Princeton University in the fall, majoring in biochem. I must admit, I used to hate math, and I was very recently in your shoes fretting over seemingly impossible math problems. But in seventh grade, I had a teacher who made learning the subject fun, and we danced to simple rhymes that helped us memorize math concepts. She instilled a love of learning in her students, and I am hoping to achieve the same with my students as well. Since I'm in my senior year of high school, I would love to give back to the community by tutoring and teaching students, as I was once in your shoes confused over seemingly impossible math problems. I believe that one of the most important components of teaching is having the right teacher, and I believe being a student myself makes me a perfect fit for the job. Not only do I have first-hand experience with the material taught in today's classes, but I can also establish a connection with students as a fellow peer. My teaching style is mainly interactive, where I constantly push and challenge my students.

I already regularly tutor my younger siblings, and have part of various tutoring organization through my high school. Whether it is helping my peers in the achievement center, or fulfilling my hours for Key Club, I have ample experience in tutoring other students. In these settings, I completed one-on-one tutoring in Spanish, Math, and Biology. I am extremely skilled in all levels of math, as I have taken math up to Multivariable Calculus and scored an 800 on the SAT math section. I also received a 5 on my AP Calc BC test, with an AB sub score of 5 as well.

Learning is a way to empower others, and I hope you offer me the privilege of helping empower you.

Excellent Algebra 1 Tutoring Experience with Hiba

I had a great experience with Hiba, Algebra 1 tutor for my son. She was patient, explained each step clearly, and really helped build my son’s confidence in solving equations. I appreciated how she regularly checked in to ensure he was understanding the material. We’ll definitely be booking more session with Hiba for other subjects as well!

Engaging and Effective Math Tutoring

Hiba is a wonderful teacher who connects well with my daughter and explains concepts clearly. She is currently helping my daughter, who is going into 5th grade, with mathematics. So far, they’ve covered place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of both fractions and decimals. Right now, they are working on volume, area, and perimeter. My daughter enjoys the sessions and is gaining confidence in her math skills. We’re looking forward to continuing with Hiba and seeing more progress ahead!
