I graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Pure Mathematics from the City College of New York and later completed advanced graduate coursework at NYU (Cybersecurity) and additional universities in proofs, probability, statistics, and data science. My teaching experience spans high-performing charter schools, a Blue Ribbon magnet school, and private tutoring across a wide range of needs and abilities.

I support students who want a steady, structured approach to learning — whether they are building foundational skills, advancing through rigorous coursework, or seeking a clearer understanding of challenging concepts. My sessions are focused and collaborative. I use a Socratic, inquiry-driven method that guides students to think deeply, articulate their reasoning, and develop the confidence to solve problems independently.

I value consistency, clarity, and growth. Students learn to approach math with composure and curiosity, not pressure. Over time, they develop a strong internal foundation that supports higher performance in the classroom and beyond.

Finite Math

Finite math is a lower-level math class that covers a range of topics, not including calculus. Some things that tend to be covered are logic, set theory, probability theory, matrices, and statistics. I have taken courses in each of these topics. In addition, I have coached students in all of these areas, so overall I am well-qualified to help students with finite math.

I have taught geometry in three different high schools. I love helping students with this material!

Queen is an extremely delightful person. She arrived on time prepared to work. In the one hour session, Queen identified several weakness and strengths through a Common Core assessment. She continued on to develop those weakness through the use of money manipulative and visual prompts. My son likes her and I will be hiring Queen for weekly sessions. We look forward in seeing Queen again!!
