Hi, my name is Jessica and I have been a special education teacher for itinerant and supplemental students for the past 11 years! I received my undergraduate (special education K-8, elementary education K-4) and graduate degree (master of education in Instructional Technology) from Kutztown University of PA.
I love my teaching job so much and pride myself on my classroom environment and rapport with my students. I know that it is so important to relay this during tutoring too! I hope to...
I hope to encourage, close learning gaps, and build confidence during our sessions together.
My favorite things to teach are elementary reading and math, specifically teaching kiddos to read is something I love to do, focusing on phonics, phonemic awareness, decoding and finally comprehension. I also focus on specific math skills students are working through their IEP goals, regular education instruction, and/or missing skills.
I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible, therefore welcome any resources or suggestions students or parents can provide. I am easy to reach and will always provide fast
responses. Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!
