In our sessions, we will go over the basics of the three most commonly-used design programs: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign. Starting off with lessons on how to set up a new document and use the various tools, we will work our way up to design terminology, best practices, and even ways to design faster and more efficiently like by using keyboard shortcuts and custom workspaces!
I have been using Illustrator and InDesign professionally for years now and have certification from Udemy for completing their Advanced InDesign Training Course. My breadth of knowledge of the tools, shortcuts, and best practices of these programs will make it easy to answer any question a student may have on them!
Between the graphic design knowledge I acquired throughout my college education and the on-the-job skills that I acquired in the workforce, I am well-qualified to teach students what they will need to know to be a successful graphic designer, or at the very least how to use the programs for personal use. I have used Adobe Photoshop for well over a decade and have a wide variety of tips, tricks and skills that I'm excited to pass on to the next generation of designers!
