Hello. My name is Madison, and I am an Art Instructor located in Lancaster County. I have been instructing individuals in art for about 7 years. I started in High School while working at a summer camp, from there I assisted with their Arts and Crafts program position. Around 4 years ago I began my current position as an Art Instructor to adults with intellectual disabilities or autism. In this position I have worked alongside over 70 students in a studio setting to help them achieve their artistic goals, primarily focusing on drawing and painting. I created and planned lessons for these students to learn a wide variety of art techniques and terms.
I expanded my artistic influence in 2019 by reaching out to my alma mater. For half of the school year, I worked alongside the Life Skills students and gave them an opportunity for a creative outlet. I provided a time for the students to express their creativity by providing any art supplies they may have needed to use. Art has been a huge part of my life, and I find such joy being able to help others in their artistic journey. I have a passion for seeing other grow, thrive, and create in a way that elevates their confidence.
I have 7 years of experience in regards to teaching a variety of artistic techniques, primarily drawing and painting. Since I work with adults with intellectual disabilities I have learned how to adapt to each of my students to find a teaching style that is best for them.
If you're looking for assistance regarding drawing and painting, feel free to contact me. Thank you!
