I earned dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Chemistry and English Literature from Emory University in 2021 before matriculating at the Penn State College of Medicine, where I am currently pursuing my M.D. My academic foundation spans both rigorous physical sciences and humanistic analysis, allowing me to approach complex scientific concepts with clarity and effective communication. I scored at or above the 98th percentile for all sections of the MCAT, other than CARS (131 in Chemical & Physical Foundations (99th percentile), a 130 in Biological & Biochemical Foundations (98th percentile), and a 130 in Psychological, Social, & Biological Foundations (98th percentile).
My background in higher education combines extensive peer instruction with formal curriculum design. During my undergraduate studies at Emory, I served as the university's designated peer tutor for General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, helping students master multi-step synthesis and quantitative problem-solving. I went on to serve as a biochemistry teaching assistant for two semesters, guiding students through complex metabolic pathways and molecular biology. Following my time as a TA, I was promoted to an undergraduate course developer at Emory.
