Hello!
Are you worried about the “summer slump,” where students can lose a month or more of learning and skills in between school years? Hello!
Are you worried about the “summer slump,” where students can lose a month or more of learning and skills in between school years? Are you already dreading the PSSAs and Keystones, knowing how much undue stress they put on you and your student? Or, do you and your student simply want a head start on all the awesome learning that they’ll be doing next school year? I’m a dual certified special education and secondary English teacher from a local school district who is looking to take on summer tutoring students. I’ve worked with students in grades 6-12 and specialize in reading comprehension and literary analysis, writing, and test taking strategies. I also have some experience teaching Algebra and Biology. Summer hours are flexible.
I spent a few years working as a literacy coordinator, and I enjoying researching and implementing best practices in Reading and writing instruction. As a special educator, I try to tailor my instruction to the individual student, all while using data to help track student progress and growth.
Summer and after school hours are flexible. Feel free to contact me at any time!
