Studied under Peter Garity at Columbia University for two weeks to learn how to make math fun for all ages. I taught Singapore math and am well versed in traditional math as well as Common core math.
I have been able to work with families to help students meet their reading goals from age 3 all the way to adults who are learning English. I take into account developmental stages and the interest of the reader as I create lessons and find appropriate reading material.

I am a classically trained pianist. Over the years I have taught 40 students piano lessons averaging 1-3 years. I am especially skilled with beginners of all ages. I have mostly taught from a variety of a John Thomson piano books. I enjoy pulling in classical pieces and working with the student to see what their interests are. Composition has been a component of these lessons as well. I enjoy inspiring my students to think of piano as an instrument of expression and creativity.
