Learning should leave you feeling capable, not overwhelmed. My goal is to make challenging concepts easier to understand, strengthen your communication skills, and help you become a more confident, independent learner.
I recently completed my Master’s degree in Human Services Counseling, graduating with High Distinction. Over the past 15+ years, my work has centered on teaching, mentoring, and coaching people of all ages in classrooms, one-on-one settings, and professional environments. I also taught English in China, where I worked with students from different cultures and proficiency levels. That experience taught me the importance of adapting my teaching style to each student’s unique learning needs. In addition, I’ve taught private guitar lessons for many years, helping students build technical skills, confidence, and consistency. Across every teaching role, I’ve found that the best results come from understanding how each individual learns.
Whether you’re learning English as a second language, improving your writing, preparing an essay, practicing public speaking, or learning guitar, my goal is to create a supportive environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe lasting progress comes through clear explanations, practical application, and steady encouragement.
Beyond tutoring, my background includes leadership, project management, nonprofit work, and public speaking. Those experiences have strengthened my ability to break down complex ideas into clear, practical steps while connecting with students from a wide variety of backgrounds. I’d be honored to help you reach your academic, professional, or personal goals.
