I, Dr Jacques R. N., am currently a Postdoctoral Scholar at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Lecturer in Chemical Engineering and Secondary School. I obtained a B.Sc., Professional Teacher Diploma and M.Sc. in Chemistry at the University of Yaounde I followed by a Sandwich PhD in Chemical Engineering and Inorganic Chemistry from the Universities of Rome “La Sapienza” -Italy and Yaounde 1-Cameroon. As a native command of French, Italian language Skills B2 during my Sandwich PhD in Chemical engineering and Processing (Rome “La Sapienza", Italy), I am an excellent fit in French, Francophone & Italian - Lecturer (French).

Beyond my successes as a researcher, during my 14 years, I have been involved in academic and pedagogical activities, including supervision of graduate engineering students in the field of Design Engineering; co-supervise MSc and Ph.D. students. In terms of teaching, I spare no effort to scrupulously respect the requirements of the LMD system: professionalization, student rights, and respect for hierarchy. I take an active part in the development of programs, seminars, and international conferences.

I have had the opportunity to teach macromolecular chemistry, advanced analysis techniques, product, chemical engineering, mass transfer, analytical chemistry, applied thermodynamics, and unit operations on divided solids.
My teaching philosophy is premised on the idea that the best teaching is informed by the latest research. By bringing research into the classroom everyone benefits; students are better able to grasp the immediacy and relevance of what they are learning, and my own research is informed by the student’s reactions and questions.
Through the Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholar program, I train undergraduate and graduate students to conduct ultra and nano-filtration experiments in the Media Department of Chemistry at IUP.
I am taking their ideas to the next level, by embedding the teaching experience within the research experience, and by emphasizing both the engineering and s
