Hi and welcome! My name is Nelson, and I hold a BSN from Emory University, where I graduated summa cum laude with a 3.8 GPA, and I also hold a PhD from the University of Pittsburgh with a focus on nursing research. Over the years, I have worked as a nurse researcher with respected institutions such as the University of Pittsburgh and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), experiences that strengthened my skills in research design, data analysis, and scholarly writing.
I have over five years of tutoring experience, working with students at the BSN, MSN, DNP, and PhD levels. I specialize in helping nursing and medical students develop strong research projects. My expertise includes capstone projects, thesis and dissertation support, literature reviews, and statistical analysis using SPSS. I have taught students in both one-on-one sessions and small groups, helping nursing, public health, and other medical science students succeed in coursework and research projects.
My tutoring style is collaborative and supportive. I don’t just give answers; I work with you to develop research questions, refine methodology, analyze data, and strengthen writing. I am well conversant with different formatting styles including APA, MLA, and Vancouver, and I am familiar with SQUIRE guidelines for DNP projects. My goal is to help students feel confident and produce high-quality scholarly work.
If you need guidance in nursing research, statistics, SPSS, or capstone projects, I would be glad to support you on your academic journey. Thank you.
