Math is a skill that requires practice to develop. I approach tutoring similarly to a piano teacher - assess current understanding, identify goals, identify the skills required to reach those goals, then practice until we get there.
If you need help with a class you are taking, we will work on your current material but also focus on skills that may be weaknesses so that you can follow along better in class.
If you need test prep, we will break down problems as far as we need to for you feel confident. I can make up similar ones to make sure you get it. We can spend other time working on trigonometry basics if that's an area of need.
I an adaptable to your needs and am not going to use a systematic, robotic approach like tutoring centers will. I will make sure you understand what you are doing and help you to link it to things you already know.
First session will be at a public library of your choice within 10 miles of Hummelstown, afterwards we can continue to meet there, your home, or online (though I prefer in-person, it can be hard to do and show math online without the proper tech setup). I do not do online sessions with students I have not met in person first.
