I'm Atai, an undergraduate student at Carnegie Mellon University. Before enrolling as an Economics and Statistics major at CMU, I was an instructor at Mathnasium for almost 2 years, specializing in SAT Math instruction. It was then that I found my passion for tutoring, as I found no greater joy than that of watching my tutees flourish in their subjects, obtaining scores they never thought were possible. The resources I had and the expertise I developed while tutoring up to 10 students at the same time in 10 different subjects have allowed me to create an effective teaching system.
Through my instruction, I have been fortunate enough to watch students from middle school to high school celebrate the 95+ percentile scores that they earned in the math sections of their standardized tests. I take pride in walking my students through the processes behind solving each problem, ensuring that no matter how the test questions look, they will be able to tackle them with confidence. There is no greater source of pride for me than when a student can explain how to solve a previously-challenging problem with ease!
