I have a strong academic foundation in statistics, supported by a Ph.D. in Statistics. My studies covered key areas such as probability, hypothesis testing, regression, and data analysis, along with practical training in software, including Excel, Python, and R. This combination of theory and applied skills allows me to help students not only understand statistical concepts but also apply them effectively in coursework, research, and real-world projects.
I have been teaching statistics for 8+ years, working with college students across a range of disciplines, including psychology, business, and health sciences. My sessions focus on guiding learners through assignments, exam preparation, and data analysis projects while building their confidence in both the mathematical reasoning and the use of statistical software. I emphasize breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps and encouraging students to actively engage with data so that they can apply what they learn independently.
Many of the students I work with do not come from math-heavy backgrounds, so I tailor my explanations to their fields of study and connect statistical methods to real-world applications. This approach helps students see the relevance of statistics, making the subject less intimidating. Over time, my students have improved their grades, sharpened their analytical skills, and gained lasting confidence in handling data. My goal as a tutor is to make statistics clear, approachable, and empowering for every learner.
