After an extensive career in auditing and management, I continued my education by graduating summa cum laude with a Master’s degree in Education majoring in Adult Development, Learning and Instructional Design, received GED/HiSet certification from the city of Philadelphia Mayor’s Commission on Literacy enabling me to tutor all subjects related to GED/HiSET completion (Math, Language Arts,Social Studies, Science and Writing); also certified in TABE (Test of Adult Basic Education) Instruction. The TABE test is required by several colleges for entry into occupational degree programs (I.e., culinary, electrician, nursing, etc.)
I have been tutoring school age (K-12) and college persons face-to-face since 2013 and remotely since the pandemic. (2020 to present). My tutoring expertise increased TABE scores in 12 days for students enrolled in a culinary arts program; GED/HiSET diploma completion for hundreds of of my tutored adult students. Increased student understanding at all levels in Math (Fractions, Decimals, Percentages, Ratios, Proportions, Algebra and Geometry)
Currently, I only tutor virtually (via Zoom). I cannot meet personally. Student must have access to a computer and be computer literate. I require pretesting for all students to ascertain the starting level of instruction. Based on the pretesting, the student and I will set time goals (must be mutually agreeable) for completion. I am very flexible (realizing circumstances do/can change). I will plan and design all instructional materials. If you are committed to doing your best, I am sure I can help you achieve that goal!
