I am a Harrisburg, PA native with a strong interest in the sciences and medicine. One of my favorite parts of my college experience was helping my peers learn the material in fun, engaging, and memorable ways so that test day wasn't an overly stressful experience. I am currently working as a medical professional, however I enjoy teaching and helping others grow. I am looking for students who would like to challenge themselves to learn the required materials of their programs and to understand how their studies fit in the bigger picture of science.
I love tutoring because of how rewarding it is to see a student succeed. Whether you are learning how to balance an equation, determine the limiting reactant, or even speak in a foreign language, the challenge of learning sometimes requires an extra voice to guide the student along.
I have extensive experience teaching students and adults alike with various levels of experience in the process of rigorous study. I teach by transforming abstract ideas into tangible ideas and relations for a student to begin comprehension, what is important is that a student understands the principle thrust of an idea so that they can explore its implications themselves. Some topics take time to learn, and I am a patient teacher who will be sure you arrive at all the goals you lay out.
I graduated from Clark University cum laude with a double major in mathematics and physics while completing all requirements for medical school admission. I have received honors in both majors as well as awards for my performance both as a mathematics and physics student.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you become a stronger student. No matter where you are at in your studies, I am confident you'll enjoy our time studying and learning together -- and your scores and grades will improve in the process! Just send me a message and we can discuss how best I can help you become a stronger student.
