At HACC CON (an academic conference at my college) I gave a presentation named "The Legends of Mathematics" to show that mathematics, like any subject, can become interesting when one knows about the fascinating stories and history behind the intimidating subject.
I am very passionate about being strong in the foundations of math and justifying all your steps with principles (knowing why you're performing each step). Because I am constantly recalling all of the rules, I am confident in teaching at all levels of math up until College Algebra.
I am passionate about teaching and am looking forward to becoming a math professor some day in the coming years. I am able to get along with everybody and cater to their particular learning style, whether that be visual or more formal.
