I hold a Doctor of Medicine from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, as well as a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Arts in Integrative Physiology from the University of Colorado Boulder. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in physiology, biology, chemistry, math, and related sciences. These experiences have prepared me to teach complex material in a clear, approachable way, with the ability to adapt my explanations to the learner’s level.

I have over seven years of experience tutoring and teaching students across multiple levels, ranging from high school to medical school. At the University of Colorado Boulder, I worked as a teaching assistant for Human Physiology and Genetics, and I also served as a graduate teaching assistant for physiology labs where I guided students through experiments, administered exams, and provided one-on-one feedback sessions. At Loyola, I tutored first-year medical students in microbiology and host-pathogen interactions by creating structured study plans, facilitating practice problem sessions, and encouraging active engagement with the material. My approach focuses on tailoring lessons to each student’s learning style, breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, and building the confidence needed to succeed.

In addition to classroom and small group instruction, I have extensive one-on-one tutoring experience through the Student Academic Success Center, where I worked with undergraduates in anatomy, chemistry, and genetics. I enjoy working with students of different ages and backgrounds, and my teaching philosophy centers on patience, encouragement, and helping students develop critical thinking rather than rote memorization. These experiences, combined with my medical and scientific training, make me well-prepared to support students in subjects such as biology, physiology, chemistry, and medicine.
