I graduated from Saint Vincent College with a degree in Early Childhood Education and a minor in Disability Studies, equipping me with a strong foundation in child development, instructional strategies, and inclusive education. My background allows me to effectively support young learners in building fundamental academic skills while also addressing diverse learning needs. Throughout my career, I have worked with students of varying ages and abilities, tailoring my teaching methods to ensure individualized support and growth.
My tutoring experience began at Saint Vincent, where I worked one-on-one with elementary students to strengthen their reading, writing, and math skills. After graduating, I gained experience as an elementary school teacher, working directly with young learners in a structured classroom setting. Currently, as a special education teacher at a career and technical education center, I continue to teach essential elementary-level skills such as measurement, basic reading, and foundational math concepts. My approach focuses on hands-on learning, real-world applications, and fostering confidence in students by meeting them at their level and guiding them toward success.
With experience in both classroom teaching and individualized tutoring, I understand the importance of engaging lessons that cater to each student’s unique learning style. Whether helping a child improve their reading fluency or develop a stronger grasp of math concepts, I provide patient, encouraging, and effective instruction to support academic growth.
