Hi! I'm Angelica and I'm a current medical student at Drexel. I have a master's in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and a B.S. in Neuroscience.

Additionally, having scored a 515 (90th percentile) on the MCAT, I understand the content and strategies needed to get a competitive score. Throughout my preparation, I improved by roughly 48 percentile and turned my weaknesses into strengths. Through practice, proper resources, and targeted learning, I've helped other students improve their baseline scores and learn how to think like the AAMC.

Every year, students with amazing potential are made to feel like science, writing, or STEM just isn't for them. I used to be one of those students too. But throughout my life, various teachers, tutors, and peers have helped me realize that I can do anything I set my mind to, and I hope to help each and every student come to that same realization!

In addition to having a bachelor's in Neuroscience and a Masters in Biomedicine, I scored in the 90+ percentile on the Biology and Biochemistry section of the MCAT (the Medical College admissions test) and currently work in a basic science research lab that studies Regenerative Medicine. My experiences give me a well-rounded background in Biology and prove that I understand complex materials in great detail.

I received a 515 (90th percentile) on my MCAT [129 in Chem/Phys, 128 in CARS, 130 in Bio/Biochem, and 128 in Psych/Soc] and improved my overall score 16 points from my first attempt, giving me a full understanding of the steps necessary to improve in every category! I have developed study strategies to help understand/retain content, and testing strategies that help students raise and maintain higher scores from test to test.

Physiology is a subject heavily reinforced throughout the entirety of medical school - initially through concepts presented in didactics and then in reality with hospital rotations. Having reached the end of medical school and completing both USMLE exams, I have a solid understanding of physiology and the pathophysiology of disease.

During medical school, we are taught about psychology and psychiatry in both didactic and in clinical settings. I completed the didactic portion of my training roughly 2 years ago with almost a perfect score on my final exam. I also completed my 5-week clinical training in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry last year and scored in the 89th percentile on my SHELF exam. My background in psychology provides me with foundational information, and my more recent training in psychiatry provides me with extended knowledge regarding treatment options and diagnosis of various psychiatric conditions.
