Hello! My name is Krutarth, and I am beginning dental school this fall! I am completing my bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Pittsburgh. Throughout college, I have excelled in all levels of Biology and Chemistry, including Biochemistry, Genetics, and Human Endocrinology. Additionally, I scored in the 99th percentile on the ACT, with exceptional scores across all subsections.
I have two years of experience tutoring students for ACT and two years of experience as an undergraduate teaching assistant for Inorganic Chemistry. My teaching philosophy focuses on adapting to each student’s learning style to enhance their knowledge. For visual learners, I create diagrams and flowcharts to simply complex concepts. For kinesthetic learners, I encourage the use of models and hands-on activities. I also believe that guiding a student through a problem step-by-step and providing hints along the way helps the students develop their critical thinking skills and helps them understand the method to solve similar problems, rather than simply providing the correct answer. I also create personalized study plans and use different learning tools such as flashcards, study guides, and practice tests to cater to each student’s needs.
My experience includes teaching students between the ages of 15 to 20 in diverse educational settings, including one-on-one tutoring, group sessions, and classroom instruction. I have conducted lessons over zoom, where I share my screen to present visuals and solve problems step by step on my iPad. I have also worked with students in person and used a white board to create practice questions and create engagement with the lesson. Lastly, I have taught students in a classroom setting and held review sessions for exams. I am passionate about teaching and committed to help me students succeed. I am highly flexible in my timings and teaching style, and I am very excited to help my students in any way I can! I look forward to meeting with you!
