Hello, I am a certified 7-12th math teacher since 2000 teaching high school. Since moving I now just enjoy one on one tutoring. I mainly teach Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, ACT math prep, ASVAB, PERT and Accuplacer math testing. I prefer not to tutor for the SAT any longer since they switched to the new format and no longer make their specific test results available. Hello, I am a certified 7-12th math teacher since 2000 teaching high school. Since moving I now just enjoy one on one tutoring. I mainly teach Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, ACT math prep, ASVAB, PERT and Accuplacer math testing. I prefer not to tutor for the SAT any longer since they switched to the new format and no longer make their specific test results available. Because of this I have no way of knowing if the actual test is anything like the practice tests. If you contact me I can send you a thorough explanation on why I feel the ACT is a much better test for your student to take at this time.
Rates (all eastern time): 7am to ending by 11am is $20/hr. From 12:45pm to ending by 4:45pm is $30/hr After 5pm and all day on weekends is $40/hr. I will adjust the tutoring time to reflect the proper charge. I am 100% devoted to helping you. Tutoring works best when you look over your work ahead of our meeting and show me examples of what is confusing you. Ask questions. In between sessions you can message me problems you have tried but do not understand. I will write out explanations free of charge. You only pay for live one on one tutoring. Lessons can be submitted to the nearest 5 min. So you do not need to use an entire hour if you do not need it. Cancellations occur, so let me know if there is a day/time you need even if it is not currently listed as available. This way I know to contact you if that day/time opens up. My schedule changes by the hour as new students request times or make changes so we should confirm your time asap. The fastest way to book a time is to tell me exactly what day and time you would like and make sure to mention your time zone each time since I have students all over the world.

I have helped many students prepare for the math portion of the Accuplacer test. I would first suggest that you do the practice problems so that I can see what skills we need to work on. Getting tutoring will help your math placement and therefore will save you time and money. Tutoring is my main income and I fully devoted to helping you !
ACT Math

ACT Math

I love how excited parents & students are when their scores improve after tutoring. This math test is a skill driven test whereas the SAT test is more problem solving. The ACT includes a science section. My advise is to only use the official ACT practice book. The other practice books cannot plagiarize the test and do not read like the test. Also, to go to the official ACT website listed as actstudent asap and have your student go to the test prep section and try and complete the 5 modules for the math section. Contact me and I can give you any other information that I have gathered on this new test. I believe one on one tutoring far exceeds the big expensive ACT classes. With your student's effort and my guidance, he or she will improve their score as well as help their math foundation for current and future math classes.

If needed I can try to help with the non math sections. Please note that I best qualified to help with the Math reasoning and Arithmetic Reasoning sections of the ASVAB. My advice is to do as many math practice questions as you can before we meet so that I can see what you struggle most with. That way, I can see clearly from our first meeting how much work we need to do. Ask myself or your recruiter for the website or apps that will best help you prepare for the test. I am honored to help you on your journey to serve our country.

I am interested in helping students who are taking notes, trying their homework and care about learning. I enjoy the visual Geometry problems that involve algebra. Proofs are the other aspect of Geometry. They are also important, so I will help your student think logically so that they understand the order in which they need to order their proof statements.
Prealgebra

I have been teaching Pre-Algebra since 2000. Pre-Algebra is an important stepping stone to lay a solid foundation for the rest of your students mathematics. I know what is involved in Alg1, 2 and beyond so I teach Pre-Algebra with the future in mind so that they can make the future connections. Students need repetition so encourage your student to do as many different typed of problems for the same skill so that they can experience all the aspects of that skill. I would visit websites that have interactive games to reinforce skills. Upon our first contact I will give you the names of websites I recommend.

Doubled his ASVAB score after tutoring with Tina.

My son needed serious help in the math portion of the ASVAB. If he did not pass he had to wait 6 months to retest. I never used online tutoring but was desperate to get my son help. Tina was amazing to work with. As soon as I booked her she immediately contacted me to have my son send over page numbers and problems so she would be prepared for the session. After the first session I could see my son's confidence come back. Tina worked with my son for 7 days straight and twice on the day before the test. My son increased his score from a 23 to 51 with Tina's tutoring sessions. I highly recommend Tina.

Tina is amazing!!

Tina has been helping my daughter with the math section of the sat’s for a few weeks. She is so wonderful! So knowledgeable and explains things wonderfully. She even works out problems for us ahead of time so she gives her a beautifully written explanation of the tricky ones! So dedicated and awesome! It’s hard to tell but it definitely looks like my daughter’s grades are improving. I say it’s hard to tell because each test is so different but her last two grades have been the highest yet!!! Also, she is so reasonable- you would be crazy to use anyone else.
