I have over 10 years of experience providing customized tutoring services to students of all ages. My specialties are Algebra, French, Spanish, Anatomy & Physiology; and a host of other subjects. I also have experience in medical interpretation (Spanish), having provided clinical services in Costa Rica, Honduras, and El Salvador. As a former Division I athlete, I combine my passion for health and nutrition with education to bring a unique perspective to the world of virtual learning.

In addition to tutoring, I also provide organization, scheduling, time management, and other personal planning services to my clients. I have the natural ability to help organize the lives of others, increasing productivity and life management. Effective scheduling and time management is often the key to success in school and life.

I have been tutoring math for nearly 15 years. I have experience tutoring students from elementary to adults.

With standardized testing, test-taking skills are sometimes more important than the content. Being able to understand how tests try to trick you could be the difference between passing and failing. Knowing how to do the problem is only half the battle.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages and speak both French and Spanish. I have been tutoring languages for over 10 years; and have prepared students for everything from quizzes to studying and working abroad.

I am here to help to learn, re-learn, and get excited to learn every step of the way.
Let's go! Let's get started now... because the best way to get something done is to start!

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

More specifically, I have created curricula for 1st grade and up. Additionally, I work with algebra students year-round and just recently had one of my college algebra students inform me that she received straight A's for the semester which she attributes to having 1+ lessons per week with me since Summer. I try my absolute best to create an environment that adapts to and stimulates each particular student's learning style.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

More specifically, I have created curricula for 1st grade and up. Additionally, I work with algebra students year-round and just recently had one of my college algebra students inform me that she received straight A's for the semester which she attributes to having 1+ lessons per week with me since Summer. I try my absolute best to create an environment that adapts to and stimulates each particular student's learning style.
ASVAB

ASVAB

My experience with entrance exams includes but is not limited to having taken (and scored competitively on) the SATs, SAT IIs, AP exams, MCAT and more. I currently tutor GRE students as well as many other subjects but have found typically students struggle with the math analysis sections of these exams which is what I try to focus on helping the student confidently learn! The ASVAB is a placement exam... the math analysis, along with English, electrical/electricity, General science and more, will help determine the types of jobs for which you qualify upon acceptance into the military. I have teaching experience and tips/tricks to help you improve your skills so that you can preform your absolute best on the ASVAB! My ultimate goal is to figure out your learning style and cater my teaching style to best suit your needs!! I will often recommend resources to aid in the study process and will even make personalized videos which I publish in my YouTube channel so students can use as a reference while studying in between sessions with me! Additionally, due to my academic background (among other qualifications), I received a full scholarship through HPSP (the medical student scholarship program for the Armed Forces) and became an Officer of the United States Air Force in 2013.
French

French

I first started learning and speaking French at the age of 9, where it was mandatory at school. I then continued my studies of French and other languages all the way through college where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Foreign Languages. I wrote and presented my 20 page thesis in French to the entire French department and my colleagues on the divergence of the hospital system due to the World Wars. Additionally, I have successful tutored French to students ages 3 and up by engaging students based on their learning style and by teaching study methods and recommending resources that help increase retention.
Homeschool

Homeschool

I am an experienced curriculum designer and former homeschool teacher for grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. I have created novel materials/resources/study guides to supplement the course material and have designed holistic content and assessments to enhance the learning process.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

I have over 10 years of experience tutoring and/or teaching math from grade levels 1 through college and professional school applicants. The way math is being taught has definitely been changing but I have experience integrating my passion for helping students (confidently matriculate to the next grade level by strengthening their academic abilities especially in areas such as prealgebra, algebra, and calculus) with my experiences as a student from primary school to medical school.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I currently tutor GRE with a math focus and TEAS math as well. I am prepared to help students better understand SAT math as well as learn how to apply math logic to the approach wherever necessary. I find it important to discuss why wrong answers were included and to identify where test writers are trying to trick the test taker.
Track & Field

Track & Field

I was recruited by multiple coaches to compete in Division 1 track and field at the collegiate level. Inducted into the hall of fame at our 10 year reunion for outstanding achievements as a hurdler-sprinter-jumper and member of a multi-record breaking relay team. Trained clients while attending medical school and have continued with fitness ever since.

Fantastic tutor

She always makes sure you understand the concepts behind equations, and breaks them down into their most basic parts; so they are easier to understand. In addition she also prepares review material outside of the tutoring system that you can review on your own.
