I am currently a 7th grade math teacher who has 16 years teaching experience including 9 years at the high school level. At the middle school, I teach Pre-Algebra as well as regular 7th grade math. During my time at the high school, I taught Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Honors Algebra 2, Honors Geometry, and computer programming. In addition to my public school teaching experience, I have served as a robotics instructor for children and adults. I have provided one-on-one tutoring for elementary, middle, high school, and college students for over twenty years.
I love helping students understand mathematical concepts by breaking them down into simpler steps that are easy to follow. Students have found that my instructional approach has resulted in increased academic achievement as well as conceptual understanding. As a result, students are prepared to either continue their education in math or apply the concepts they have learned to their individual lives.
