Hi! I’m a certified 7–12 English Language Arts teacher with a Master’s in Teaching and over 6 years of classroom experience. I currently teach 7th and 8th grade ELA at Schuylkill Valley Middle School and previously taught 7th grade Honors for 4 years, helping students build strong analytical reading and writing skills.

I specialize in helping students improve reading comprehension, strengthen their writing skills including paragraphs, essays, and organization, and prepare for tests and standardized exams.

Many students struggle with writing because it feels overwhelming. I break it down into clear, manageable steps, whether that means structuring a paragraph, organizing ideas, or understanding exactly what a prompt is asking.

My approach is structured but flexible. If one method does not click, I adjust until it does. I use tools like graphic organizers, models, and guided practice to help students build confidence and independence.

I am a great fit for students who struggle to organize their writing, have trouble figuring out what to say, want to improve their grades or test performance, or are ready to be challenged and pushed to a higher level.

I have worked with students long-term and helped them grow from struggling writers into confident, independent thinkers.
