Patient Teacher Art and Piano

I am a professional Artist and Pianist. I Received my Bachelor of Arts from East Stroudsburg University with a major in the arts and a Bachelor of Science from Kutztown University. I did my teacher training in the pottery district of England (Crewe Alsager) and can teach all aspects of basic drawing and painting. I have a long career in public school teaching here in Pennsylvania and have great patience and consideration with beginners as well as more advanced students.
My training in Piano began at the age of 8 years old and I studied with 3 teachers throughout public school and college years; one of my teachers took extensive studies in New York with a teacher who was a former student of Franz Liszt. I can teach piano by zoom or come to your location. I play on a Yamaha baby grand and also use an
electric Yamaha with weighted keys. I am a retired educator.

I have 6 years of post high school education and over 30 years in the field of education. I have vast knowledge of the arts- art history, art theory, traditional drawing and painting. I have also studied Chinese painting.

My greatest trait as a teacher is my patience while instructing in piano. Relaxation and a sense of fun are important as I teach. Piano theory, scales and keys, dynamics, fingering and sight reading will be covered. Classical music and modern pop and jazz can be covered. All ages, emphasizing beginner and intermediate learners, as well as advanced.

I am available to teach with a flexible schedule as I am retired, either by zoom or at your preferred location for the length of time you prefer...half hour or hour. My rate is reasonable and I look forward to helping you advance in the arts and music.
