I believe in the importance of providing a developmentally appropriate and nurturing environment while simultaneously introducing my young students to meaningful learning activities that strengthen and prepare to be a successful student for life.
I have a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary and Early Childhood Education and a Master's of Education in Early Childhood Education. After years in the Kindergarten classroom, for the past 2 years I have been working in my school district as the Gifted Support Teacher, MTSS Coordinator, and Instructional Coach. This transition has allowed me to guide my colleagues as they apply the best teaching practices for their students including developing differentiated instruction, accommodations, and other supports to help tailor their student's learning experiences.
As an experienced educator and mother myself, I understand a parent's desire to provide their child with the best start to their early years as a student. I am excited to work with your child to help them prepare for the milestone of becoming a Kindergarten student, remediate Kindergarten skills or even provide meaningful enrichment as they transition to 1st grade. I am also happy to help support other elementary school-aged students with any grade level support they may need.
