I have been an educator for the past 27 years and I have been very successful teaching all levels of students. During my teaching career I have tutored hundreds of students with the results showing the student's renewed energy and love to learn which is reflected in their continued improvement in school.
I specialize in all Social Studies and Reading courses as well as working with students going through trying times in their lives. I have written the curriculum for, piloted, and taught 3 different courses throughout my career (Successful Students Partnership-Dropout Prevention Program, Careers course, and Honors American Studies). My certification as a Social Studies and Reading Specialist(Masters) teacher as well as the extensive training and experience on the Student Assistance Team give me a unique perspective as a tutor and educator.
As an educator I have always set the bar high for my students to learn and have provided a safe, comfortable environment where they can prosper. My philosophy has always been to give the students an environment where they perform beyond your expectations.
My cancellation policy is 24 hours and I will offer makeup classes. Copies of my clearances through the Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Child Line, and FBI will be provided to all parents before tutoring sessions begin.
I currently live in the Elizabeth area but I am willing to travel to another location that is more convenient to my students.
I feel I have been blessed to be able to teach as long as I have and to give back to society as an educator. I look forward to hearing from you and providing your child with the success they deserve. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I played football at WVU as well as coached football at the high school and junior high school level.

I coached Track and Field for 13 years on the high school and junior high school level.
