Hi, I’m Ashleigh! As a dedicated educator with a passion for supporting all learners, I bring a strong academic foundation and extensive classroom experience to my work as a tutor. I hold a dual certification in Early Childhood Education (Pre-K–4th grade) and Special Education (Pre-K–8th grade), along with a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). This background allows me to support students across a wide range of ages, abilities, and learning needs.

For more than ten years, I have worked as a special education teacher, partnering closely with students to help them build confidence, close learning gaps, and reach their individual goals. Much of my experience has involved working one-on-one and in small groups, where I tailor instruction to each student’s unique strengths, challenges, and learning style. Differentiation is at the heart of everything I do—whether that means breaking down complex skills into manageable steps, using multisensory strategies, or adapting lessons to keep students engaged and motivated.

My experience as a special education teacher is what truly sets me apart as a tutor. I am skilled in identifying where a student is struggling and adjusting instruction in real time to meet their needs. I understand that learning is not one-size-fits-all, and I take pride in creating a supportive, patient environment where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. As a tutor, my goal is not only to improve academic skills, but also to empower students with strategies and confidence that will serve them well beyond our sessions.
