About Kassidy

Bio

I have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and have had extensive coursework/experience in psychology and education. I have 12 years experience with ADHD, Autism, Down Syndrome, Language Disorders, mental health conditions, and behavioral disorders. I currently work as a K-12 school-based speech-language pathologist in a special education school and work part time as a counselor to address social/emotional concerns.

I believe that building solid phonological awareness skills is important for students to succeed with literacy. I love engaging my students in activities and strategies to support phonological awareness skills.

I can also help with other academics in the school setting and finding alternative ways for students to learn if the typical curriculum is unsuccessful.

Ideal tutor for autistic kids, Kassidy communicates very well with the parents, makes sure she understands the student's difficulties and learning disabilities, which is very important to be able to teach special ed kids.
