I’m Kristin. I graduated cum laude with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and am currently pursuing my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During my time in college, I realized it was not the material that was taught that brought me to class, but it was the professors who taught me along the way. I strive to provide a comfortable learning environment and am passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. I am patient, approachable, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I use creative lesson plans to introduce the topic and material.
With the strong background in subject I tutor, combined with my enthusiasm for learning, I am dedicated to fostering a positive and productive tutoring experience that empowers students to excel.
Additionally, I tutor K-6 English, Math, and Science. I have a year experience tutoring these subjects where I worked with 5-6 children in a school setting for 8 hours Monday- Friday in a special education program. I also have experience in upper level Psychology for high school level students.
I am easy to reach and open to parent/guardian recommendations. I want to create a comfortable learning environment where students can feel like they excelled after a session.
