Hello! My name is Vanda and I am an accomplished, quadrilingual teacher graduating summa cum laude with a Master's Degree in Professional Education. I also graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in French with a minor in Spanish. In addition, I am a native Italian speaker. I have been teaching Spanish, French and Italian for more than 25 years in the classroom, helping high school students (freshmen to seniors) achieve their language goals. Throughout this time, I have had ample opportunities to tutor students one-on-one, or volunteering in after school tutoring programs. I specifically helped students who were struggling with grammar, pronunciation, listening, reading or writing. In addition, I was in charge of tutoring for a few years being the National Honor Society moderator for one of the high schools that I worked in.
I specialize in Spanish, French, and Italian (all levels). My teaching style is personalized, patient, and engaging, designed to meet each student exactly where he/she is - whether he/she is preparing for an AP exam (I have taught AP Spanish for 3 years), improving grades, learning for travel, or developing professional fluency. I can offer homework and exam support, as well as lessons with practical, real-life speaking skills for travel and conversational settings. Whether online or in-person, I make learning interactive, structured, and fun. I have traveled extensively and chaperoned student groups abroad, so I love weaving in cultural knowledge to make lessons come alive!
