Hi, I’m Pippa!
I am a prospective May 2026 graduate of Cairn University with a degree in Elementary Education. Having spent years working with children, I have developed a deep passion for both mentorship and instruction. I am particularly enthusiastic about curriculum development and children’s literature, which has made my transition into teaching and tutoring a natural fit.
My background includes extensive experience across various grade levels and instructional settings. Notably, I have completed a full-time, three-week practicum in a Kindergarten classroom and am currently completing my student teaching in a fourth-grade classroom. Additionally, I have a strong track record in one-on-one tutoring, supporting students aged 5 to 16 across a wide range of subjects.
I believe that effective education must be multi-faceted. To ensure I reach the "whole child," I integrate kinesthetic, auditory, and visual methods into my lessons, prioritizing hands-on experiences that engage all senses.
I also recognize that every student possesses a unique set of talents and learning preferences. My approach to tutoring begins with building a positive, trusting relationship; I believe students thrive most when they feel a genuine connection with their educator.
Outside of the classroom, I am an avid crochet enthusiast. I love sharing this craft with others and have experience teaching crochet to both individuals and groups as a way to encourage creativity and mindfulness.
