Hi! I’m Ishan — an incoming medical student and current clinical research coordinator in a neurology practice with extensive experience in both clinical and laboratory research. I have worked in multiple wet labs and clinical research settings, including projects in hepatitis B, chronic pain, and digital health, and I am a published biomedical researcher. I also bring a strong teaching background as a former teaching assistant, Kumon tutor, and peer mentor, where I supported students across math, science, and academic skill development.
I specialize in ACT Science preparation, undergraduate physiology, and research methods (including experimental design, data interpretation, and how to get involved in clinical and laboratory research). I also support students preparing for college and pre-health pathways by helping them build strong academic and study skills.
My teaching style is concept-driven and highly personalized. I focus on building strong foundational understanding, teaching students how to interpret scientific data passages efficiently, and helping students reason through questions rather than rely on memorization. I adapt each session to the student’s goals, learning style, and timeline, and I emphasize practical strategies for test-taking and long-term retention.
I offer a brief, free introductory consultation to understand your goals and create a customized study plan before beginning lessons. I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
If you’re looking for a supportive, structured, and clinically grounded approach to ACT Science or college-level science tutoring, feel free to message me—I’d be happy to learn more about your goals and help you get started.
