I am a professional Academic Instructor providing services through Wyzant since 2011. I am the First Place recipient of Temple University's Freshman Seminar and Goals for Youth essay contests. I am also a recipient of the Creative Writers award, the History level I award and a Math Award. I have been writing books since I was eight years old and taught myself how to read at the age of 4. I am also a recipient of the Creative Writers award, the History level I award and a Math Award. I have been writing books since I was eight years old and taught myself how to read at the age of 4. My work was published in Authors of Tomorrow. I graduated number 20 within my high school class of over 150 students with numerous Honor Roll awards.
Teaching has always been a passion of mine since I was 4 years old. I remember writing letters on our brick porch to help my grandfather read. I told him I wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. Tutoring has provided me with the perfect foundation for teaching. I've successfully increased grades and received grateful thank yous from parents excitedly telling me their student made the honor roll for the first time or no longer needs the IEP program. These are the priceless moments that has made tutoring rewarding and fulfilling.
Most notable tutoring achievements:
Successfully tutored an adult student for her bachelors, masters and doctor of nursing practice degree. Increased student's SAT score by 140 points after 7 lessons! Helped another student score a 1500 on her SAT. Utilized my writing background to provide assistance in the research and development of two Doctor of Nursing Capstone Papers: "Empowering Diabetic Mothers in a Coaching Model for Diabetic Mothers from Tioga/Nicetown Neighborhood" and "Advanced Practice Nurses Providing Primary Care in Impoverished Communities." Both papers scored 88-90 points out of 100. Successfully wrote essays to receive numerous scholarships.
Wrote cover letters and resumes to land clients employment with top companies such as IBM and Bank of America Corporate. Published in Wyzant’s February 2021 tutoring blog on “Advice to college grads" and March 2021.

During my enrollment in Temple, I took business writing, cover letter and resuming writing classes as well. I am also a certified and published Writer through Temple. Most notably, I have successfully landed clients jobs at top name companies such as IBM and Bank of America Corporate. I am confident within my abilities to successfully coach an inspiring individual within the areas of career development.

In addition to having a passion and enjoyment for cooking, I have been cooking for over 6 years. I've completed a cooking class and expanded my knowledge by creating my own recipes. I've also studied a nutrition course to supplement my Personal Fitness Certification which has helped educate me on how to cook healthy meals. I have the knowledge and hands on experience to educate on how to cook as well as expanding that to include healthy cooking.

I am currently enrolled within Tang Soo Do, a Korean Martial Art at a Black Belt Accredited school in New Jersey. I am a 2nd degree black belt. I have won eleven tournaments with 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place trophies in all divisions such as sparring (free fighting), forms and weapons. I have been studying martial arts for over six years and have assisted in class teaching beginner and intermediate students. Additionally, I practiced combat training for about a year which incorporates weapon, hand and floor training utilized and taught by law enforcement.

I also have superb time management skills that I've used during my full-time enrollment at college to maintain my studies and two jobs. Time management is also key in developing good study skills so that the student can allot time for every subject without jeopardizing their grades. First a student needs to gain an understanding of each subject to ensure they do not spend too much time on one subject they are struggling with and little to no time on other subjects. Study skills begins with effective tutoring in struggling subjects and then teaching the student how to delegate their time effectively. I love educating others no matter their age for knowledge is timeless.

My time with Aisha was absolutely wonderful! Aisha helped me prepare for the SAT’s. Her teaching is very natural, relaxed and thorough and her tips have even helped in other ways as I have already seen an improvement on tests aside from the SAT’s!
