I am a certified elementary teacher in the state of Pennsylvania with over 30 years of experience working with children. I began my journey in education in 1993 as a teacher assistant in a special education classroom, which ignited my passion for teaching and supporting diverse learners. I went on to teach in private school settings in New York before participating in a teaching abroad program in the Dominican Republic, where I spent a year teaching in a bilingual setting. These early experiences shaped my commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive education.

I hold a Bachelor's in Education, a Master’s in Human Services, and my Pennsylvania teaching certification. I spent 10 years as an early interventionist, providing developmental and academic support to young children and families. For the past several years, I’ve taught kindergarten and first grade in a Spanish immersion program, using curricula such as Estrellita, Savia Spanish, and EnVision Math 2.0 (Spanish edition). Many of my students begin with no Spanish background, so I integrate structured routines, visuals, music, and hands-on learning to build both academic skills and confidence. I specialize in early literacy, Spanish phonics, math foundations, and support for students with special needs.

Outside of teaching, I’ve been married for 31 years and am the proud mother of three young adult children—and three adorable dogs. Teaching is truly my calling. I bring warmth, experience, and proven strategies to every session, and I’m committed to helping each student grow and thrive.
