Hi, I'm Aayod! I just received my Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University, where I graduated as a Schreyer Honors Scholar with extensive coursework in mathematics, physics, and engineering design (with a Certificate in Humanitarian Engineering & Social Entrepreneurship). Throughout my undergraduate years, I pursued multiple research projects in medical device development, authored several publications, and led educational outreach efforts.
My tutoring and teaching experience spans both formal and informal settings. I have mentored undergraduate students in engineering design labs, helping them develop CAD models, analyze theoretical calculations, and prepare for technical presentations. I also led peer tutoring sessions in calculus, physics, and mechanics during my time as a student organization leader. My approach emphasizes conceptual understanding over rote memorization—I encourage students to ask “why,” break down problems into manageable parts, and apply knowledge to real-world examples.
I have worked with a range of age groups, both college-level and high schoolers through volunteer tutoring programs. Whether in one-on-one sessions or small-group workshops, I tailor my methods to each student’s learning style—offering visual diagrams, problem-solving strategies, or Socratic questioning as needed. With over four years of teaching experience in academic and outreach settings, I’ve developed a patient, student-centered style that builds confidence and fosters curiosity.
