From the moment I watched Taxi Driver at 15, I knew I wanted to be a filmmaker. Its raw intensity and unflinching portrayal of loneliness struck a chord in me, setting me on a lifelong path of storytelling and exploring complex, flawed characters.
With over 20 years of screenwriting experience, I have dedicated my career to crafting compelling narratives and helping others bring their stories to life. My work has been recognized in prestigious competitions such as Slamdance, the High Plains Awards, and the Clarion Writers Screenwriting Competition. Several of my scripts have also been optioned, including my first script, Wasted Youth, by independent production companies like Stonebridge Pictures and the Westward Film Company.
Beyond my own writing, I’ve mentored aspiring screenwriters at all levels, from high school students to independent filmmakers, guiding them through concept development, structure, character arcs, and dialogue. My teaching experience includes one-on-one coaching and group workshops, where I provide detailed feedback and actionable revisions. I believe in a hands-on, collaborative approach that not only strengthens technical skills but also builds confidence in each writer’s unique voice.
I am currently pursuing my MFA in Screenwriting at the David Lynch Graduate School of Cinematic Arts, continuing to refine my craft under the guidance of industry professionals while further exploring the art of cinematic storytelling.
