Prior to D2 Ball I played at a D1 Junior college in Texas where I started at Point Guard! I’m originally from upstate NY. There I played 3 years of Varsity basketball and was captain for 2 years! I played forward then but through prep school in Philadelphia I transformed my game into a Guard! I’m looking forward to getting better! Are you?
I have the rare ability as a player to play and understand every position on the court. Being 6’4 with a strong frame allows me to post up little guards and use my quickness against bigger players. However, I was not always 6’4 and strong. In middle school I was just an average kid who worked on skills and drills, praying that God would bless me with height to play for my high school team. Not long after those late nights perfecting my craft, is when I began to grow. But I didn’t stop working just because I got taller. I continued to be a student of the game and this is what I want to pass along to my students. No matter if your the biggest or smallest player in the gym, you have to be the hardest working. You also have to understand that the game of basketball is like life. The goal is to work smarter not harder.
Remember Guys, work smarter not harder. Just because you see your friends going away to summer basketball camps and AAU tournaments does not always mean that’s the smart thing to do. Those events are very expensive and have lots of political misconceptions about them. I’ve played at every amateur level and maybe one day I’ll play professionally. But no matter what, my message will be the same: hard work beats talent if talent doesn’t work hard! Contact me here for more information or to set up lessons. Let’s make 2020 an amazing year you guys!! See you soon.
