Hi! I'm Shriya, and I am an incoming freshman, planning on majoring in biochemistry, at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. I've been tutoring students for the past three years, and it has always been an incredibly rewarding experience. From helping classmates in tough AP courses to prepping students for the SAT, I’ve worked with students of all levels and learning styles, helping them grow. I've learned to be supportive while listening and adapting to the way you learn. I know how stressful school can be, so whether you need help improving your grades, SAT score, or understanding difficult concepts, I’ll be here to support you every step of the way.
I have a background in specifically AP and SAT tutoring. In high school, I completed 13 AP courses from AP Physics C to AP Literature and Composition, earning As (4.56 Weighted GPA) and scoring mostly 5s in all of them. Additionally, I earned a 1540 on the SAT (760 Reading and Writing|780 Math), and became an official SAT tutor through a College Board program, where I learned how to effectively teach SAT topics. I have tutored a wide range of subjects, and with over 150 hours of prior experience, I’ve developed the ability to break down complex topics into clear, understandable steps, making learning easier. In the past, I've mainly tutored AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, trigonometry, biology, and SAT English and Math, but I would be more than happy to help you in any other subject as well.
My goal is always to help you not only improve your grades or scores, but improve your knowledge and confidence. Going through these subjects and topics myself, I know what it takes to succeed. I have also learned how important it is to have someone you can ask for help. I love seeing the moment when a student is proud of their own academic abilities. If you’re looking for a tutor who’s experienced, approachable, and wants to see you succeed, I’d love to work with you, so please feel free to reach out!
