My favorite part of tutoring is meeting people and learning about what they care about, then being able to help them on that journey! With Wyzant, I hope to be able to expand beyond my previous tutoring subject areas, since much of my training involved transferrable techniques for helping you learn (as opposed to just telling you what to do) and making a tutoring session comfortable and enjoyable. I have always been strong across academic disciplines, and miss working on some subjects (especially within mathematics) that I wasn't able to take classes on in college, so I will bring enthusiasm and a fresh perspective along with my experience and expertise for our time together!
After winning a National Merit Scholarship in high school, I studied abroad in India before beginning higher education, then again in Jordan in Fall of 2021, so I'm very familiar with the struggle of feeling overwhelmed despite great effort to understand. I hope I can help you move past that feeling to get wherever you want to go - in your subject, in your school, or in the world.
