Hello! My name is Taylor, and I am a medical student with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences. I am passionate about helping students build confidence, strengthen their understanding of challenging material, and achieve their academic goals.
My strongest tutoring areas are Anatomy, Biology, Physiology, and other life sciences. I have studied anatomy and biological sciences extensively at the undergraduate, graduate, and medical school levels, and I enjoy helping students connect concepts rather than simply memorize information. Whether you are taking Anatomy & Physiology, General Biology, Human Anatomy, or preparing for an exam in a health science program, I can help break complex topics into manageable pieces and develop effective study strategies.
Throughout my academic career, I have worked with students in both one-on-one and group settings. As a Biology Peer Mentor, I helped college students review course material, strengthen study skills, and prepare for exams. I have experience working with students across a variety of educational levels, from elementary school through college.
For elementary and middle school students, I provide support in math, science, reading, study skills, and academic enrichment. I also worked on a child development research study focused on how children learn, particularly in mathematics and reading. This experience reinforced the importance of adapting instruction to each student's individual learning style and developmental needs.
My tutoring philosophy is centered on patience, encouragement, and understanding. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and actively engaging with the material. Whether a student is mastering foundational concepts, preparing for a major exam, improving study habits, or overcoming academic challenges, my goal is to help them become confident, independent learners.
